Tahltan-Tercon Limited Partnership, a First Nation's corporation 51% owned by Tahltan Nation Development Corp. and FNP Ventures Ltd. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tercon Investments Ltd.) were contracted to construct 55 km of road through some of the most difficult terrain in all of British Columbia.
Our equipment was transported to the strategically placed camps along the road right of way using an MI-26, the world's largest helicopter. All fuel, supplies and personnel were air lifted to site during the construction period. The terrain included rock requiring drilling and blasting, swamp and marsh areas, angle cuts to 90 degrees and impeccable planning and logistical support.
Tahltan-Tercon's portion of the road was ahead of schedule, below budget and had an excellent safety and environmental record.

As part of our contract for the Meadowbank Gold project in the Arctic, we constructed two roads. The first was to assist with the construction of the main access road from the Inuit community of Baker Lake 110 km to the Meadowbank site. This work was completed in the winter conditions using standard drill, blast, haul and place techniques.
The second requirement was top construct an access road to the available gravel eskers located 8 to 12 kilometres away. In order to limit any environmental impact and as it was a one time use road the access was constructed over the existing snow pack and frozen lakes. Both projects were completed with zero lost time accidents.
